Puerto Maldonado Pickup & Welcome
Your Tambopata Jungle 2 Days adventure begins with pickup from the airport or bus terminal in Puerto Maldonado.
After meeting your guide, you may enjoy a brief introduction to Puerto Maldonado before preparing for the journey into the Amazon rainforest.
Boat Transfer to the Jungle Lodge
We board a motorized boat and travel along the Madre de Dios River, enjoying tropical scenery while watching the riverbanks for birds and other wildlife.
Upon arrival at the eco-lodge, you will be welcomed with a refreshing tropical fruit drink before checking into your private room.
Canopy Walk Experience
After settling into the lodge, we begin one of the most exciting activities of the Tambopata Amazon Jungle Tour: the canopy experience.

Wake up surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest and enjoy breakfast before beginning the day’s excursion to Sandoval Lake.
Boat Transfer to the Sandoval Sector
We travel by motorized boat toward the entrance to the Sandoval sector of the Tambopata National Reserve.
Rainforest Hike to Sandoval Lake
A guided walk through the rainforest leads toward the lake.
Along the trail, your professional guide will explain tropical plants, insects and the ecological relationships that make Tambopata one of Peru’s most remarkable natural areas.
Canoe Exploration of Sandoval Lake
Upon reaching Sandoval Lake, we board a canoe and quietly explore this important Amazonian ecosystem.
Keep watch for monkeys, hoatzins, tropical birds, black caimans and other wildlife living around the lake.
Sandoval Lake is also known as habitat for giant river otters, although all wildlife sightings depend on natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
Return from the Rainforest
After the Sandoval Lake experience, we begin the return journey through the forest and back toward the river.
According to the scheduled program, you will return for lunch before preparing for the journey back to Puerto Maldonado.
Return to Puerto Maldonado
We travel back by boat and continue with your transfer to Puerto Maldonado.
Arrival is normally expected at approximately 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by transfer to the airport, hotel or agreed drop-off point.

Rain or limited wildlife sightings do not automatically qualify for a refund when the tour remains operational.
An exceptional safety restriction, official access closure, extreme river condition or situation that makes an activity impossible to operate may affect the service.

More Than 7 Days Before Departure
A partial refund may be available when cancellation is requested more than 7 days before departure.
Lodge reservations, transportation, entrance tickets, payment-processing charges and any services already purchased, confirmed or considered non-refundable will be deducted from the refundable amount.
7 Days or Less Before Departure
Cancellations made 7 days or less before departure are non-refundable
because the principal lodge, transportation and operational services will already have been coordinated.
