Day 1: ATV Tour to Maras, Moray & Salt Mines from Cusco

🕒 Tour Schedule & Departure

The ATV Tour to Maras, Moray & Salt Mines operates with two daily schedules:
Morning departure from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or afternoon departure from 1:10 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The tour begins with at the agency’s door in Cusco, followed by a scenic drive through the Andean countryside directly to the Maras Salt Mines (Salineras de Maras).

 🧂 Salt Mines of Maras (Salineras de Maras)

Here, you will walk among hundreds of traditional salt pools that have been used since pre-Inca times and learn about the ancestral salt extraction process still practiced by local families today.

 🚐 Transfer to the ATV Base – Cruzpata Highlands

After visiting the salt mines, we return to the vehicle and continue to the ATV base, located in the highlands near Cruzpata.

Upon arrival, our professional guides provide a safety briefing and ATV driving instructions, followed by a short practice session to ensure everyone feels confident and comfortable before starting the ride.

Once ready, we begin the ATV ride toward Moray, traveling along dirt roads and open terrain with panoramic views of farmlands, mountains, and traditional Andean communities.
