Hotel Pickup in Cusco

Your Sacred Valley VIP Full Day Tour begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel or a previously coordinated meeting point in Cusco between approximately 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.

After meeting your guide and fellow travelers, you will leave Cusco by tourist transportation and begin a full-day journey combining archaeological sites, Andean communities, traditional culture, and some of the most impressive landscapes in the region.

Chinchero – Inca Heritage & Andean Textiles

The first destination is Chinchero, a traditional Andean community where Inca heritage and living cultural traditions remain closely connected.

During the visit, learn about the archaeological importance of the area and visit a local textile center where artisans demonstrate traditional techniques for preparing wool, creating natural dyes, and weaving colorful Andean textiles.

The historical surroundings also reveal the coexistence of Inca foundations and colonial influences that characterize this important highland community.

Moray Archaeological Site

Continue toward Moray, one of the most distinctive archaeological sites near the Sacred Valley.

Its remarkable concentric terraces were constructed at different levels and are commonly associated with Inca agricultural experimentation and crop acclimatization. Your guide will explain the principal theories surrounding Moray and the sophisticated environmental knowledge developed by the Incas.

There will also be time to appreciate the surrounding highland scenery and take photographs before continuing toward Maras.

Maras Salt Mines

The next stop is the spectacular Maras Salt Mines, where thousands of individual salt ponds extend across the mountainside.

The ponds are supplied by naturally salty water and continue to be managed by local families using traditional harvesting practices. During the visit, your guide will explain how water is distributed through the terraces and how salt is produced through natural evaporation.

Buffet Lunch in Urubamba

After the morning visits, continue to Urubamba, located in the heart of the Sacred Valley, for an included buffet lunch at a local restaurant.

Ollantaytambo Archaeological Site

The journey continues to Ollantaytambo, one of the most impressive archaeological complexes in the Sacred Valley.

Explore monumental terraces, precisely constructed stone structures, ceremonial areas, and other architectural features while learning about the important strategic, religious, and agricultural role the site played during the Inca period.

The surrounding town also preserves historic streets and water channels with Inca origins, making Ollantaytambo an exceptional example of living history.

Pisac Archaeological Site

The final major archaeological visit takes you to Pisac, an impressive complex built high above the valley.

Discover extensive agricultural terraces, ceremonial areas, stone structures, and panoramic viewpoints while your guide explains the site’s agricultural, strategic, and cultural importance within the Inca world.

Pisac provides a memorable final perspective over the Sacred Valley before returning to Cusco.

Return to Cusco

After completing the Pisac visit, board the tourist transportation for the final journey back to Cusco.
