Cusco Rafting Tour Full Day

🚐 Meeting Point at Cusco Main Square

Your Cusco Rafting Tour begins with a meeting point at the fountain of the Main Square (Plaza de Armas) at 08:00 am.

After meeting the group and your professional adventure guide, we start our journey towards the southern valley of Cusco, enjoying scenic mountain views and traditional Andean landscapes along the route.

🏛️ Rumicolca Archaeological Site

Our first stop is the archaeological complex of Rumicolca, an ancient Inca control point that was part of the Qhapaq Ñan (Inca road network).

Here you will learn about its historical importance, take photos, and enjoy the views before continuing the adventure.

🦺 Arrival at Piñipampa – Safety Equipment

After a short drive, we arrive at the rafting starting point in Piñipampa.

At this location, our professional rafting team will provide all the necessary safety equipment including:

🪖 Helmet
🦺 Life jacket
🥾 Wetsuit
🧥 Windproof jacket
🚣 Paddle

Once equipped, your guide will conduct a complete safety briefing, explaining:

How to paddle correctly
Safety commands
Proper seating positions
River safety procedures
What to do in case of falling into the water
Swimming safety positions

You will also receive instructions for the optional Aqualine zipline experience.

🚣 Rafting Adventure on the Cusco River

Before entering the river, there will be a short practice session to help everyone become familiar with the instructions.

Then the real adventure begins as we start rafting through a beautiful section of the river featuring Class I, II and III rapids, perfect for beginners and adventure seekers.

During the experience you will enjoy:

📸 Scenic photo opportunities

This rafting section lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

🌉 Aqualine Zipline Experience

During the rafting adventure, you will also have the opportunity to try the exciting Aqualine, a zipline experience over the river.

This activity consists of sliding along a cable from an elevated platform and optionally jumping safely into the river under guide supervision.

This activity is completely optional and designed for fun and safety.

🦜 Nature & Wildlife Observation

Along the river route between Piñipampa and Huambutio, you may observe:

Andean ducks
Torrent ducks
Mountain gulls
Swallows
Local bird species

You will also see interesting volcanic rock formations, local flora, and scenic Andean landscapes.

🧖 Camp Facilities & Lunch

At the end of the rafting experience in Huambutio, our vehicle will take you to our base camp facilities.

Here you can:

Enjoy a relaxing sauna
Change clothes
Rest after the activity

Afterward, you will enjoy a well-deserved lunch which typically includes:

🍚 Rice
🥑 Avocado
🥖 Traditional Andean bread

🚐 Return to Cusco

After lunch and some time to relax, we begin our return trip to Cusco.

Arrival is approximately around 4:00 pm, with drop-off at Plaza de Armas.
